Electric scooters to become legal in the UK?

The news every e-scooter lover has been waiting for... Last week the Government announced plans to legalise the use of privately owned electric scooters in the UK. The transport secretary, Grant Shapps, confirmed in a live broadcast during the Queen's speech, that Laws regulating the use of electric scooters are expected to be introduced. 

While e-scooters are not currently legal to ride on public roads, any privately owned electric scooter can legally be ridden on private land.
