Now with upgraded ultra-bright headlight and taillight, and additional front, side and rear reflectors, the recently-improved Xiaomi Mi 1S is a lightweight and practical electric scooter with a host of useful features.

It takes just three seconds to fold the Xiaomi Mi 1S down to a height of only 49cm, and thanks to a body made of aircraft-grade aluminium alloy, this scooter won’t weigh you down when you need to carry it. Boasting a sleek, minimalist design, the Mi 1S is hiding a smart battery management system (BMS) and kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) that enable an impressive maximum riding range of 18.6 miles on a single charge.

A multi-functional LED display shows speed, battery, distance and driving mode, while sophisticated cruise control helps you to maintain a steady speed of your choosing. You can even pair your Xiaomi Mi 1S with the Mi Home App, to check ride statistics on your Android or iOS device.

This scooter is not waterproof, please do not use in wet conditions.

KERS extends the riding range of the Xiaomi Mi 1S by recovering energy during non-powered coasting and braking, and converting it into usable electrical energy. You can adjust the efficiency of the energy recovery system through your Mi Home app, which also monitors battery condition and other useful stats. Meanwhile, the fifth-generation BMS contains essential temperature, short-circuit and overcurrent protection.


Xiaomi gave this iteration of its classic electric scooter a new design that improves night time riding safety, thanks to a new 2W headlight tucked below the rider’s line of sight. As well as improving visibility after dark, this also means the scooter rider can avoid headlight dazzle throughout their journey.


At top speeds of an impressive 15.5mph (25 km/h) you’ll still experience a smooth and comfortable ride thanks to the Mi 1S’s air-filled tyres. And weighing in at just 12.5kg, carrying it over steps or onto public transport isn’t a challenge.


Please note that the Xiaomi Mi 1S is not suitable for use in wet weather conditions.

Like all of our scooters, figures given for maximum speed and range are based on calculations under controlled conditions. There are various factors that can affect the speed and range you get from your scooter, which include rider weight, terrain texture and gradient, power mode and heavy acceleration.

The E-Scooter Co. is committed to producing high quality products and we offer a one or two year warranty on our products. You must be the original owner and have your proof of purchase or order number. The warranty protects you against manufacturing defects.

This warranty is in addition to your legal rights provided by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

The warranty period on all scooters is 12 months.

Please also take note of the weigh restrictions for your scooter and read the manual before using your scooter.

What does my warranty cover?

The warranty will cover manufacturing faults with the scooter. This warranty is  limited to the repair or replacement of defective items and said repair and replacements are the sole remedies of the warranty.

The shipping costs to ship the product back to us and from us may not be covered. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss.

What does my warranty not cover?

  • General wear and tear or any damage caused by misuse is not covered. The warranty covers you solely against manufacturing faults.
  • Accidental or crash damage, abuse, miss-use, attempting tricks, water damage, neglect, exceeding the weight limit, changing settings or anything else that results in damage caused by the user is not covered by the warranty. 
  • Damage due to improper assembly or maintenance
  • Damage due to the installation of incompatible parts or accessories or installation of parts or accessories that were not intended for or compatible with the product 
  • Corrosion
  • Failure to perform maintenance or service at appropriate intervals

Any modification to the scooter will void the warranty. The warranty will also be void if you are not the original owner. The warranty is non transferrable. 

If you have a warranty claim, you will need to follow the below process:

  • Contact our Customer Services team at orders@theescooterco.com and a member of our team will send you a warranty claim form.
  • You will need to fill out the claim form and email over photo's/ videos of the issue along with a proof of purchase.
  • The form will need to be retuned to us via email and our representatives will guide you through this process.
  • Our specialist technical team will determine the issue and defect based on the information that you have provided within your warranty claim form and they will require you to send back the original defective part/ items.
  • Our team will examine the goods and if they confirm that it is defective or faulty (a warranty issue), your product will be fixed or replaced free of charge. 

All of our scooters are adult scooters, and should not be ridden by anyone under the age of 18 years of age. Most of our scooters have a weight limit of 100kg - 120Kg. SCOOTERS ARE NOT WATERPROOF.

Electric Scooters are not to be used on public roads, Cycle lanes or footpaths. It is the Customers complete responsibility to ensure that their E Scooter is used in accordance with all local and country laws. The customer when purchasing through The E-Scooter Co. trading as E Scooter Professionals Ltd accepts and assumes all risk and liability associated to the use of an E Scooter and/or any other products purchased from The E Scooter Co. The customer accepts full responsibility and waivers their rights to hold E Scooter Professionals Ltd trading as The E-Scooter Co. or its owners from any liability caused in association, directly or indirectly with their use unless due to the negligence of the company or a defective product.  Electric Scooters are not for the use of anyone under the age of 18. 

Delivery

  • Our E Scooters are shipped via Fedex or Tuffnells Tracked, at a cost of £40 (excluding special promotions, which may include free shipping)

  • To qualify for next working day delivery, orders must be placed before 12pm (Mon-Thurs) UK only. Orders placed after 12pm on Thursday will be sent on Monday, unless we instruct you otherwise.

  • All items will be dispatched within 24 hours of purchase, though please note that orders will not be dispatched over the weekend.

  • All electric scooter deliveries will need to be signed for.

Please be aware that Next Day Working Delivery is NOT guaranteed to the following destinations: Scottish Highlands, Northern Island, Channel / Offshore Islands. They will be delivered within two business days

If the delivery is not signed for and no one is able to receive your delivery then our courier will put a card through your door allowing you to rebook a delivery with the courier or pick up the order from the depot. The electric scooter will be returned to us if the courier unsuccessfully attempts to deliver the order to you on 3 occasions. 

Returning products to us

If you are returning a scooter you must ensure that it is securely packed, ideally in its original box to allow safe transit. If you no longer have the durable box in which the scooter was shipped we can provide another one upon request, though we may charge for this.

The goods must be sent back to us within 14 days of you telling us you wish to place a return.  The customer must bear the cost of return shipping.
